Privacy Policy

Data Collection

Cleaner does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information or browsing data. All data (such as settings, protected domains, and saved tab sessions) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API and is never sent to external servers.

Permissions Used

browsingData

Used to clear your cache, cookies, and other browser data when you request it. No data is read or transmitted — only deleted locally on your device.

storage

Used to save your settings and preferences (such as protected domains, theme, and time range) locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers.

tabs

Used to display the list of your open tabs in the Tab Manager panel. Tab data is read locally and never transmitted.

activeTab

Used to identify the domain of your currently active tab so we can apply single-tab clearing mode.

scripting

Used to clear sessionStorage on the current page, which is not accessible through the standard browsingData API.

alarms

Used to schedule periodic checks for the Auto-Sleep feature (Pro), which suspends idle tabs to save memory.

sidePanel

Used to display the Tab Manager as a side panel in Chrome.

<all_urls> (host permission)

Required to clear browsing data (cache, cookies, localStorage) for any website. Without this permission, clearing would be limited to specific domains only. No browsing activity is monitored or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Pro Subscription

Payment for Pro features is processed securely through the Chrome Web Store. We do not store or have access to any payment details.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
